Most often, the parking terrace at 100 South and Wolcott, just one block from Kingsbury Hall and Libby Gardner Hall (see map at right), will be the most convenient parking option. For some performances, there will be a charge to park in this lot – watch for signage or call the box office for information about specific performances.
For some Kingsbury Hall events, parking will be available at either Rice-Eccles Stadium or Merrill Engineering. Check the performance page of the event you are attending, or call the box office, for details.
Meters are available along Presidents Circle. Most are free after 6:00 PM on nights with public performances at Kingsbury Hall, but fill up fast and should probably not be counted on if you arrive close to showtime.
Most E, U, and A lots are free on weekends and after 8:00 PM on weekdays, but look for signage at each lot to be sure.
ADA parking is available directly east of Kingsbury Hall. Enter from Presidents Circle.
For some events, Kingsbury Hall provides a shuttle service. The shuttle goes directly to Kingsbury Hall from the Rice Eccles Stadium lot (or the Merrill Engineering lot) and back. Shuttle info is listed if you click the event you are attending on the calendar listings.
Shuttles begin operating one hour prior to performance times and immediately following the performance. The shuttle does not operate on a specific schedule and departs from Kingsbury Hall or the stadium when it is more than half full.
The Stadium Trax station is located 2 1/2 blocks south of Kingsbury Hall, just a short walk along University Street from the station to Presidents Circle.

Gardner Hall on Presidents Circle on the University of Utah campus houses three performing venues: Libby Gardner Concert Hall (second floor, north end), Dumke Recital Hall (fourth floor, south end), and Thompson Chamber Music Hall (second floor, south end). Kingsbury Hall is directly east of Gardner Hall.

Provided for Chamber Music Society, Gala, and Scholarship concerts, starting at 6:30 pm and departing every ten minutes.
Studio 115 is located at 240 South 1500 East in the Performing Arts Building directly west of the University Bookstore.
Paid parking is available in the Visitor Lot directly south of the theatre. Free parking is available at Rice-Eccles Stadium, on President’s Circle, or in the small parking lot just off President’s Circle directly west of the theatre.
The Babcock Theatre is on the lower level of Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre, located at 300 South University Street (1400 East), across the street from Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Parking for Patrons With Disabilities
For patrons with disabilities or who have difficulty making the walk from the Rice-Eccles Stadium, a wheelchair ramp has been installed from the sidewalk on 1400 East to the west entrance of the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre.
A limited number of handicapped accessible parking spaces are available to patrons with disabilities in the parking lot to the north of the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre building, accessed from President’s Circle.
Parking Options Within a Two-Block Radius
There are numerous parking options within a two-block walk of the theatre, all of which are free. These include:
- Free street parking on University Street to the west of Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre. Available after 6:00 p.m.
- A small parking lot just off President’s Circle directly to the north of the theatre. Enter from President’s Circle.
- The parking lot immediately to the north of the Fieldhouse—accessed by turning north at the traffic light on South Campus Drive just to the east of Rice-Eccles Stadium—which contains 120 parking spots, and is a short half block walk from the theatre. This parking lot offers the advantage of allowing you to turn east on South Campus Drive when you leave after a performance.
Patrons can also ride TRAX straight to the Stadium Station on the University Line.
Driving Directions to Marriott Center for Dance
Enter Campus at 500 S and Guardsman Way (1580 E).
Follow the round-about on S. Campus Drive west to the stop light at 1500 E.
Turn right on 1500 E. The road will dead end in to the visitors pay parking lot.
The Marriott Center for Dance building is on the west side of the parking lot.
Paid parking is available in the neighboring Marriott Library visitor lot.
Free parking after 6pm in the other lots surrounding the MCD.
